ESSAY:WHAT I HAVE LEARNT IN RUS 104

                I always hope to be a better person.Indeed,Rus 104 helps me to do so.First,i learnt to give everything in doing something.I tried to do my best to make the final outcome as perfect as possible.Next,i acknowledge how important it is to have a teamwork.Besides that,i learnt to appreciate the time as i adapted to studio life.Despite it,i am thankful that i'm getting used to the busy life.Lastly,i learnt to sacrifice.Time and money plus compromising my dislike of studio to complete every project.



I want to take this oppurtunity to thank Allah,the lecturers especially Dr Mastura and her beautiful assistant,Amelia,my parents,my siblings,my HBP friends and everyone that support me throughout the journey.I hate studio.I hate design.I literally hate RUS 104.It makes my life upside down.But,in the end i got priceless experience that i can't trade with anything.I feel super relieved that everything is finished.Welcome to RUS 105 next year.

PROJECT 8:PERFORMANCE NIGHT

Salam.At lassssttttt....final project.the commitee member of project 8 had come out with a very creative theme for our project which is the 7 lost kingdoms!!! QS major now is MAJAPAHIT KINGDOM.

Haha.that was my first reaction.well,do we have to wear this kind of dress?

OMG!OMG!I simply cannot imagine all QS-ians will wear like this.It's like how expensive would the costume would be.and the guys would be topless.it beyond imagination.yuckks!

plus,we need to perform.real performance.and we altogether chose to dance asmaradana.emmm..dancing?i hate displaying myself to public.well,another sacrifice for studio.

TIRED.MONEY CONSUMING.TIME CONSUMING.A LOT OF COMPROMISING.

we need to:

1)LEARN DANCING-there is this one istilah in malay to describe those who can't dance-KAYU.it literally means that the person body is so stiff that it looks like kayu when he/she dance.haha-the word describe us well.me,zuhaili,hazwani,sarah and fathiah are very kayu.in spite of the fact that we can't dance,we still tried our best to keep up the difficult choreograph by our outstanding coreography,Jerry Yaacob.but in the end,i gave up.the steps are very hard,plus we need to put attitude in the moves.i just joined the retro dance.

2)MAKE OUR OWN COSTUME- those who contributed idea for the costume,seriously they are awesome.we just need to buy red cloth(kain),lace,and some other things for banner.the red cloth is for the attire and flags.

3)SACRIFICE OUR TIME-well,this is not a new thing for hbp.since we need to nailed this,we have to go to Bukit Jambul to buy neccessary things,we need to attend class,we need to practice until 5.30 am.practice.practice.we also need to do banner,flags..

the quotes say it all.our effort payed off.the costume turned out amazing.the king(amirul) and the queen(syakirin) looks like a real king and queen of Majapahit.and the girls look like beautiful dayang  while the guys appears as a strong and formidable hulubalang.HOW COOL IS THAT?by the way,we rocked our entrance to dk.

our performance is GREAT!!i really proud.despite of lack of practices,we still can knock it off.

PROJECT 7:EXHIBITION DAY

Salam.This project gets Quantity Surveyor's students back together.Exhibition.We shared our booth with Construction Management's students.Well,this exhibition has the theme.FLOATING LINE.

Well,we have to design our own banner with floating lines theme.we also need to decorate our booth with selected work of QS students projects.we chose white as our theme colour and our formal cloth for exhibition day.we work together.that's a good thing.despite there was internal conflict arised,in the end we done great for our booth and banner.

PROJECT 6: INTEGRATED PROJECT: DESIGN & BUILD ‘AN AMPHITHEATRE STAGE’

Salam.Project 6:Design & Build An Amphitheatre Stage.Hmm..in this project,we were put in a new group of 16,mixing with other major.I don't know most of them.Building a amphitheatre.It sounds magnificient right?But it doesn't interest me.Well,i don't really like this kind of stuff.design.build.Luckily,we have amazing groupmates that have creative ideas plus they are good in what they are doing.they can build.

I am a QS student.Instead of chosing costing,i chose site analysis.I mean,this is the purpose of hbp right?so we can DO other things in construction industry instead of focusing only qs job.We chose lotus flower as aspiration for our amphitheatre design.

IDEA FROM IKHWAN.

So,settling down with design.Right after that is studio time.Project6a: Amphitheatre Stage Design.Together,we managed to finished 3 drawings,in A1 paper.Believe me,that's a tough job.

After got back from Langkawi,we were back to business.Project 6c:Physical Scale Model.Studio time again.And this is like "suffer time" for me.I have been always have this hatred with studio.I don't know why i hate studio very much.I have to push myself to go to the studio.

I learnt a lot of things when i do this project.

1)COLOURING- this thanks to presentation board that we need to do.

2)ESCAPE THE BLURRING- I am a blur person.I don't know what to do almost all the time.I need to blame the NOT INTERESTED part of me.i am not good in something that i'm not interested in.I'm like standing there,watching everyone getting busy.BUT,in the end,i know how to find something to do.cutting the wood.furnishing the wall.and some more.hehe. 

3)TEAMWORK-This project requires all of us to work in one group.Everyone has do their own part to finished the model.plus,we had the oppurtunity to get to know each other's character while working together.

Well,finally we finished the model.It's very exhausting though.After this project completed successfully,all RUS 104 students raise their hand,and pray to thank god.OH GOD,FINALLY OUR MODEL IS FINISHED!!!!

Only Allah and us know how much hardship that we endure to get this model done.Congratulation everyone!!
